Hibernian Workshop announced that they're working on a new title. It's titled Fallen Fates and may well be the most ambitious project of the studio to date. The game invites players to explore a vast world where they experience a memorable adventure that features striking characters, meticulous pixel-art, and ever-dynamic combat.
As part of this announcement, the studio also released a reveal trailer. It gives everyone a peek at the protagonist and even teases some of the challenges they get to face along the journey. Check out the trailer here.
A Broken World
The story begins with crystals falling from the sky and tearing across the land of Tellus. However, that's not the only thing happening as it also unleashes mysterious creatures and destruction. This world was once shaped by magic and now faces devastation with cities crumbling and strange forces spreading. In a last effort to survive, humans made the decision to merge with magical beings to create powerful warriors.
Control the Heroes
Fallen Fates has players take control of a duo of heroes. The first is Arven, a human Ranger who hunts Shadows for a living but desperately needs more strength. Second is Kay, who is an Etheri. She's an immaterial entity that's been brought into a material world she knows nothing about. These two beings have been merged into one body then united by necessity and perhaps by fate.
Customize the Skills
In Fallen Fates, players customize and upgrade the physical and magical skills of their heroes to match their playstyle. They get to experience a fast-paced and intuitive gameplay that's filled with deep mechanics and full control over their abilities. They can craft powerful upgrades and shape their build in their own way to overcome the challenges that stand between them and the truth awaiting to be unveiled.
Overall, Fallen Fates is a tale of intertwined destinies, conflicting goals, and difficult choices. No release date has been announced with the game planned to be released on PC via Steam, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch.
Fallen Fates is being developed by Hibernian Workshop. The studio has released two previous titles which are Dark Devotion and Astral Ascent.
