Legendary Hoplite is Now on Consoles

TripleBricksGames announced that Legendary Hoplite is finally making its debut on consoles. This action RPG tower defense hybrid is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch. With this, a new generation of warriors are now ready to be part of legendary battles.

In Legendary Hoplite, players take on the role of Dio, a young commander who's been inspired by the old heroes from Greek mythos that include the likes of Achilles, Hector, and Perseus. With the use of spears, swords, and shields, he's able to defeat thousands of monsters which were attacking the city of Ithaca. Dio actually has yet to discover his true power through a wide selection of gear to be used, godlike powers to be summoned, and entire new armies to be drafted for battle.

Key features of the game are:

• More than 40 levels where ARPG meets Tower Defense.

• At least 150 types of monsters.

• Many bosses from the original Greek mythology that includes the likes of Cerberus, Hydra, Gorgon, and Minotaur, to name a few.

• Plenty of items to collect and equip in the endless hunt.

• Various armies with dozens of special skills that enable countless strategies.

An Interesting Mix

What makes Legendary Hoplite engaging is the fresh take it has on tower defense as it combines RPG elements and a Greek theme which results in a multi-layered gameplay loop.

Players begin the game with basic items, a weak army, and a small set of skills and stats. As they progress through the game, they can choose the most interesting and helpful items to gain useful abilities, upgrade their army, and enhance their hero to crush the enemies and save humanity.

Supporting Ithaca

While the game is indeed fun, it also has an impact in the real world. That’s because the studio supports real-world cultural preservation. They have teamed up with the Greek Cultural Society of Birmingham “Ithaca” for a share of music DLC sales. This is to help in the mission of educating the public on Greek culture, language, history, and arts.
