Updated Demo of Space Chef Arrives to Steam Next Fest

Blue Goo Games announced that they're releasing an updated playable demo forSpace Chef. This promotion is part of Steam Next Fest which is now live and ends June 16.

For the demo, players get to dive into the opening moments of the main story for Space Chef. It includes the early NPC questlines and the first two planets where players can hunt, gather ingredients, and prepare delectable dishes. The demo offers a mix of exploration, action, and cooking mechanics. This should be enough to give players a taste of what’s to come when the game officially launches later this year.

One way to describe Space Chef is that the adventure has a feeling of a three-course meal. That's because it's a combination of restaurant manager, light survival RPG, and life sim. It's set in the zany universe of the Horseshoe Nebula with players taking on the role of a soon to be premier chef in the galaxy. To make this happen they'll have to look for the finest ingredients from alien planets, cook delicious dishes, and serve them to customers.

Exploring Alien Worlds

There's a whole universe of ingredients out in space. Be sure to explore distant planets, derelict space stations, and even their own basement. As they look for ingredients, players can meet space pirates, explore ancient ruins, and maybe go through a suspiciously high number of recently abandoned restaurants. It's important to keep an eye out for rare resources that can be used to upgrade the gear, kitchen equipment, and spaceship.

Cosmic Creations

Once all ingredients are ready, then it's time to turn up the heat and start serving. There are at least 140 different dishes available to choose from. It's now all about cooking and delicious food since players also need to please customers with speedy service. Each Astronomical Culinary Excellence Star earned marks the start of the path to intergalactic culinary success.
