Capcom announced that Free Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds is releasing at the end of this month. It's going to introduce new monsters to the hunt. Players can also look forward to the new layered weapons along with the adjustments and improvements.
Like with Title Update 1, new tempered monsters (8★) are being added to the game. A new Arch-tempered monster is also set to make an appearance. This means players should prepare for hunts that are even more challenging.
Improvements and QoL
In addition to new monsters, the upcoming update is set to make further improvements to the Hammer. These include adding offset effects for certain attacks and the addition of a follow-up attack upon a successful offset. Other changes include the improvement to the Seikret usability, which is the ability to view skill details in different screens with a single button press.
Another change coming is the character display toggle that's going to be added to Photo Mode. To be added as well is the option to toggle off the glowing effect on the hunter from skills and items. Finally, layered weapons are planned to be implemented in Title Update 2.
Design Contest
There's still time to join the Design Contest. Participants are asked to submit their own designs for a weapon and a pendant. The Grand Prize of the competition is to have the design being implemented and distributed in the game. Learn more about it here.
Monster Hunter Wilds is the newest addition to the Monster Hunter series. It's set in a dynamically changing world where there could be a rich natural environment teeming with life and transforms to that of a severe wilderness and swarming with packs of attacking monsters.
Monster Hunter Wilds features grand and beautiful visual depictions that's made possible by the RE ENGINE, which is Capcom’s very own proprietary game development engine. The game was released on February 28 and made available for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It may have been released on different platforms but with crossplay, players can enjoy the game together.
