Season 3 of The First Descendant is expected to be released this summer. There’s a lot of new content that is coming out. One of these is the new feature that’s known as the “Lounge.”
The Lounge is basically a dedicated social space which allows players to interact with their Descendants and also take a break. This also functions as a personalized space where players can display and interact with their Descendants.
The Lounge allows players to place their Descendants throughout the space and customize their appearances with skins while also being able to interact with furniture. Collectibles like Colotoys can be placed inside with the plan for lounge-exclusive items to be offered in the future.
Breakthrough – Story
As mentioned, the new feature becomes available when Season 3 launches. A new season means that plates can look forward to experiencing a new story. The Season 3 story marks a big turning point for the narrative of the game as sees the reappearance of “Karel.” This story is also said to focus on the romance of Enzo and Nell.
New Descendant
Another exciting addition from Season 3 is a new Descendant. We say exciting because Nell is already in the game as a NPC and officially becomes part of the roster as a playable character in Season 3.
Nell makes use of arche-like telekinesis and throws spheres which form debuffs. She can also pull nearby enemies. She can change all her gunshots into weak point strikes which makes her a perfect fit for players who have aggressive and run-and-gun playstyles.
New Ultimate
There are two new Transcendent Modules being prepared for the release of Ultimate Luna. One shifts her playstyle to focus on firearms. Meanwhile, the other one enhances her rhythm-based abilities and debuffing potential.
Season 3 in particular is divided into multiple episodes with Ultimate Yujin planned to arrive in Season 3 Episode 2 after Ultimate Luna.
New Weapon
New weapons are also planned to be added in Season 3. Swords are finally going to be available in the game. It can be equipped in the same weapon slot as firearms. Players can perform both normal and special attacks with swords.
There are three types with the first type being the “Shadow” Blade. It features a charged iaijutsu-style dash attack as its special move. The Blade and a new dungeon that features a boss which utilizes sword mechanics is coming out in Season 3 – Episode 1.
The other two sword types are the two-handed greatsword and a lightsaber-style weapon. These are to be added in Season 3 – Episode 2.
