The Season of the Divide Arrives to New World: Aeternum

Amazon Games announced that Season 8 of New World: Aeternum has finally arrived. Season of the Divide takes adventures into intense competition that offer high-risk gameplay, accelerated progression, and massive PvP battles.

Welcome Hardcore

Starting June, players have the chance to test their mettle in the game's first ever hardcore seasonal experience. While this mode has consequences for those who die, it may be worth the attempt given that the rewards are legendary. Making things even more enticing is that artifact equip limits are removed which results in power progression breaking wide open. Read more about the hardcore mode here.

New Artifacts

Season of the Divide introduces new powerful Artifacts. Seven of them in fact. One of these is The Old Crown which can increase all attributes with gem bonuses. Check out the complete list of new Artifacts here.

The update also adds two new gems which are the Jade and Turquoise. There are also several new perks like combat perks, Sundering Stacks, and Alternating enchantment, to name a few.

Limited-Time Preview Events

Season 8 of New World: Aeternum features exciting limited-time preview events for new PvP content. These include Capture the Flag mode that features 10v10 with powerups and jumping pads. Then there's Outpost Rush: Barebones, which is a gear-equalized version of the popular mode. Keep an eye out for the new 3v3 Arena Map set in an ancient grove temple. Learn more about them here.

The Coral Divide

The new season also sees the Coral Divide Outpost Rush map making its permanent debut. With this, players can enjoy a new ocean-inspired arena that's designed to emphasize verticality and tactical flank routes along with intense center fort clashes.
