Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios announced that Grounded 2 is heading to Steam Early Access on July 29. It's also releasing for Game Preview on Xbox on the same date.

The game is set two years after the events of the first game. The teens return in an all-new setting for a title that promises to be not only bigger and bolder but also built with the help of the community from the very beginning.

In Grounded 2, players take on the role of a character who has been shrunk to the size of an ant. However, what was once familiar has become a wild and uncharted frontier. They get to travel across the sprawling manmade spaces that've been overgrown with nature. Along the way they can team up with buggies that can fight with them while also uncovering hidden secrets. They also have to fight if they are to survive in a world much larger than the backyard.

Stronger Together

The perils of the park are daunting when faced alone. But with friends every challenge becomes an adventure. Whether facing danger side by side or continuing the journey, survival in a shared world is always better with allies.

Meet the Buggies

Buggies are those that scurry, fight, and now help players survive. They can hatch, raise, and ride their very own insect friends. Remember that the right partner could mean the difference between thriving and barely surviving.

This is actually one of the most requested community features from Grounded. This is mainly the reason why the development team working on this upcoming title made sure to build it into this new one. Each buggy introduced has its own vibe, its own perks, and its own way of flipping the script on how players explore the park.

A Lurking Threat

It's all sunshine since the threat is always there watching, learning, and waiting. Players won't know where it’s coming from and only that it never leaves. The deeper they dig, the closer it gets. While some mysteries should stay buried, it appears to be too late now. That's because it knows players are looking. Each answer drags players deeper with every step inviting something closer.

For the PC, wishlist Grounded 2 on Steam now.
