The game is set in Los Angeles sometime during 2006. It's a time when the seedy supernatural underworld is on the brink of war. Kana Luna, also known as Mercury, is caught in the crosshairs.

Mercury has been thrown into the deep end after she returns to a place she once called home. Her life has become more difficult as it has been intertwined with the Costa Muerta, a Dark Syndicate of the Directorate. Under the guise of her Mercury codename, she now has to hone her skills and try to rise from the ranks of Novitiate and protect the world as she knows it.

Action-packed Combat

Directorate Novitiate offers action-packed combat as it features traditional third-person shooter and combines it with powerful magic spells. Players can upgrade their skills and finish off opponents with impressive Gun Katas. There are also powerful acrobatic moves that can make them an action star.

Players can improve their offense and defense through a RPG leveling system which introduces a mixture of perks and upgrades.

High Stakes Story

The game offers a high stakes story. There's a supernatural serial killer on the loose and it is up to the players to solve the mystery. They have to live a normal life during the day but at night have to navigate a treacherous path as a magical hitman.

Impactful Player Choices

In a place where trust is a liability, anyone can be a friend or foe. Every choice has consequences. Players can choose to stay loyal to the Edicts of the Directorate or retain their humanity in the real world.

With the game still in development, there’s no information available on the system requirements for the PC.

The game is being developed by Nesting Games. This indie studio was founded by industry veterans Frederick and Sebastien Brassard, who mixes AAA narrative expertise with agile and tech-forward production. The team is based in Quebec City and Los Angeles.
